My name is John Rodriquez (also known as Praaks). I work for the University of Applied Sciences (also known as the Tallinna Tehnikakõrgkool). I teach English and I am also the school’s educational technologist.
The contents of this blog will have something to do with my participation in a course entitled “Personaalsed õpikeskkonnad” and may or may not prove of general interest – but will at least give me a toehold in the world of blogging and hopefully, a better understanding of how a blog may or may not provide added value in an educational context.

Nice to meet you! I wonder if we should continue communicating with you in English or you prefer Estonian? How is your Estonian or is it your way of trying to learn Estonian by participating in these courses? On the other hand as far as I know we don’t have any additional course for foreigners. That’s a pity.

I can read Estonian well enough. Writing takes me a little more time. But it’s a blog, and a blog is supposed to reflect your own thinking … Since I think naturally in English … Actually, if you think of a blog as being mostly about communication, then maybe it’s more appropriate for me to write in Estonian… In any case, I think I will focus on the “expressing my own thoughts” part.
